Gets notification while doing nothing

So basically if someone posted a status update on my profile I get notified. 

 

Someone replies to a status update I posted, is on my profile, or I have also replied to

 

But today I got a few notifications. Someone posted on my profile and then somebody else replied to that. 

I did not see it at all as I was away. So I did not reply to that status update yet I still get notifications from people who are replying to it. Though it is on my profile.

 

I am not sure if that's how forum works or is that a glitch.

I hover over the time and you can see I got notified at 6:51PM

As you can see Princess Candance replied to status update at 6:51PM. I did not reply to the status update before that time

 

I also get few more notifications later.

 

I am not that worried about this tbh

if you have two windows open (one somewhere else and one on the update) it plays the sound 3 times

the sound? no I am getting notified. Like real notifications. And as I said, I was away

Yes, if someone replies to a status update that is on your profile, you will be notified of it, regardless of whether you have participated in that status update. The whole system of notifications for status update replies is horribly broken, but the devs have unfortunately shown no interest in changing it.
