Choosing Mice

Gamboodle
Go to solution Solved by Gamboodle,

Rival 300 is where I'm going. I definitely need a mouse on the larger end and the grip seems pretty helpful. Thanks everyone for the help! This community is wonderful!

My way of choosing a mouse is, ooh, it has blue and it's $10. This has gone on about 5 or 6 times. I finally did some research and found the Mionix Caster, the Logitech G402, and the SteelSeries Rival 300. All of these seem like good mice and I've found the cost to be in my price range. I'm having trouble choosing so If anyone has any experience about these or just overall knowledge about mice, help would be appreciated.

Rival 300 user here.

Mouse is comfortable, for people with mid-larger hands, I use fingertip grip. Sensor is nice, no acceleration and better than G402's tweaked sensor (forget the name, it was used in the G100). Rubber grip issue commonly complained about with the original Rival is fixed, and the only issue I have with it is the sensor screwing up (in CS it will like aim downwards or upwards randomly) occasionally, but that happens to all 3310-based mice (Mionix Castor included!)

idk

402 has the ever so popular 3366 sensor, which imo < 3310 found in the rival 300 and Caster  misread as 403 loool, nvm rival 300/castor better sensors

They are all pretty heavy mice going for 100+ grams each. iicr castor is the heaviest of those at like 150 or something

Castor and 402 has a good eargo shell, as the 300 has a more agressive palm shell

Can also confirm 3310 problem with spaz on my Fnatic flick g1 @Droidbot

have had several mices, and currently im dual using g600 and g602. G600 for productivity work(amazing with alle the macros) and the g602 for CS:GO :)  and i use a mx performance on my laptop. Logitech always has good mices but their g software is a little bitt buggy at sometimes, but their mices are always of good quality.

Id go for logitech

Nope, incorrect on the 402's sensor. Uses AM101, which is in the G302, G100, and G602 as well.

403 has 3366.
