What's a pcmasterace? Sounds like the savior of nerds.

On a serious note, it... looks like a trash can. I hope I'm wrong.

They posted a new image. It's starting to look like a fully round case, almost like a ball.

Curved enclosure for rectangular components isn't going to be a master class in space efficiency, but as long as it isn't too big it could be an interesting option.

it's looking like a trash can to me. Fine by me, I love its and like the curved design.

Unfortunately anything with "elegant curves" isn't going to be space efficient enough to be very small unless there are some proprietary components of some sort.

I thought bitfenix has already redefined itx cases with their large form factor philosophy lol

Maybe they can do it again with a server cabinet sized itx case. That would be great because I certainly want more space for my tiny tiny motherboard.

New image up. It's not a trash can case like some people thought :o

Very excited. I'm a big fan of ITX PCs and this looks really cool. I hope it doesn't have the questionable build quality of their prodigy.

I like that idea I guess. I really like having itx while still being able to show off your hardware. That's hard in many cases so this case does well to maintain the look.

The "Finishing touch" appears to be a GPU cooked to perfection.

Hmm Id rather it be mesh ventilation than a window just for the thermals sake

There's ventilation all around it.

*owns a DX racer*

*buys this Bitfenix case and puts it on desk*

*Now has to stand at their desk the entire time, just to admire the gpu though the top window*

It would be the same when it's under the desk, this time they will have to

crouch under their table, the entire time just to admire it.

Competing itx case specialist Silverstone gives those options including a middle ground (but in all honestly, dated looking) perforated acrylic window.

That looks adequate for a blower card at most, not for those 3 fans that would probably create negative pressure and get choked for fresh air.

It's called the portal, and it already has a product page with lots of images.

Seriously... that's it? The case that is called Portal?

Obvious game references aside, that thing looks like an oversized pillow!

Yup 29L too it seems. At least it looks unique, but it's too big imho.

Maybe. I would like to see how it handles it as it's an interesting design choice.

As a mini ITX PC case it is of a decent size, but the aesthetics of the outer case is a turn off. How the hell are you supposed to carry that thing?

Yeah. Seems like they should have just updated the Prodigy, which is what I thought this was going to be. Guess not.

So they designed an actually pretty OK SFF layout. Not THAT small but decent when compared to the Manta or Evolv and good hardware compatibility. And then they make the exterior this giant bloated shell? They could have actually hit a really good market of people wanting to switch to smaller cases without buying a lot of SFF specific hardware but they had to make the outer shell massive for some reason? Is that what people want? A small mini itx frame stuffed inside an mATX case?

Probably going to be too expensive for me, but I can't wait for the reviews.
