So I watched scrapyard wars 3 again and I'm confused about the build cost, Luke said he spent $310 but his total cost $290? Why? 

 

Also earlier in the video Linus said "let Luke use his old benchmark score" what old benchmark score?! ?

They had a rule about removing their overclocks if the system fails during benchmarks and it was shown that, that happened due to power issues, so he said he can use his initial overclocked benchmark.

ah right makes sense, what about the lower build cost?
