Looking for case suggestions

Emissary_of_Pain

Hey all

I hope I can get some advice, I am currently looking for a new case that will be used in an air-cooled setup until end of year and then will be moved to a custom WC loop.

I have around $250 (slightly flexible) and I am not sure what to get.  I was really considering the Parvum M1.0 because it stands out from the crowd but I am curious to see if there are better suggestions.

All advice great appreciated.

Regards

I was considering the Genome, but it would be a little wasted once I go a full custom loop, and the case is the same price as the Parvum M1.0. Still considering it though, a very nice looking case.

The Enthoo is great apart from the losing the HDD cage if you go with a full 360mm rad in front, and I still use mechanical drives.

(updated my sig so you can see what I will be putting into the case)

Phanteks enthoo evolv atx tempered glass. Love the case

If you put a 360mm radiator in front, do you have to remove the HDD cage ?

I highly suggest watching HardwareCanucks, their case reviews are great.

Just look around, there's many many great options. :)

Yes you do.

Spoiler

I had to remove mine but I bought a bracket so I could place my hard drives in the basement behind the power supply. It is sold by phanteks specifically made for that

but if you have multiple SSDs you don't have to worry about it. It has three brackets just for 2.5" drive. One in the front and two behind the motherboard

I wonder how hard it would be to import that bracket into my country ... this might just be an option. (didn't know about that bracket)

That case reminds me of the Corsair Air 540 and the (slightly out of budget) Lian Li PC-08 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112471 (actually it's slightly more affordable now,, it launched at like $400)

Swing for the fences and do the BeQuiet Dark Base Pro 900.  It has all the modularity and can be changed about so many ways that your watercooling will not suffer at all.

With my bad exchange rate, this lands at my door for a whopping R6000 (just under $499)
