Thinking of Preordering AMD RYZEN??

I have found a place in the UK which has started preorders for the new RYZEN and just want to know if this would be a good build.

 

-AMD Ryzen 7 Eight Core 1700X 3.80GHz (Socket AM4) Processor

you are aware that the ryzen 7 are targetted towards the 68XXk and the 6900k?*

id wait till ryzen 5 first and see what comes out of it

Well the 1700 is targeted at the 7700k so sorta? It's still dual channel on all Ryzen chips which is funky. High end ryzen 5 is 6 core 12 thread at like 250 something,

march the 2nd is when most chips should be available based on amazon screwing up.

Also when it says retail edition does that include a cooler. I will be upgrading in the future but for now wanted a stock cooler, if it came with one.

Yea I have had 6800k and it feels like a mistake buying it and not waiting. Ryzen chips are now so cheap.

that would include the cooler.

 

id wait for actiuall benchmarks from a non biased standpoint before buying any hardware though. what you assembled there wasent bad though, quite similar to what i planned for a while untill i realised id rather have the 6 core or an I7 4790K and a R9 Fury

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Well I built a new machine 6 months ago with an FX-6300, and I am already considering replacing it with a Ryzen 3 or 5 when they come out and using this machine as a game and file server with a few VM's for hosting projects :)
