Freesync vs Lightboost at 144hz?

ShadySocks
  • I haven't bought a GPU yet
  • I want 144hz, Lightboost and Freesync (G-Sync is too expensive)
  • 144hz monitors are either Lightboost or Freesync, so I need to decide.
  • Budget: $500 (for GPU and Monitor)
  • I have an i7 3770
  • I love 144hz, I like lightboost, and I have never seen Freesync or G-Sync.

You'll struggle to fit in a good 144hz monitor with a GPU that can run it well for $500. RX 480 should be ok, not sure what monitors are at $250

That's an F in the profile pic

Well the GTR 480 is about the best 480 to buy, as for the monitors, dunno if any of them have lightboost, but those are you options for around $250, I'd go for the AOC one in any case though

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

CSGO is not a demanding game. I run it at 80-300 FPS depending on the map using a GTX560
