Super glue when relidding

So because of the pretty hot temps of the 7700k I've decided to go ahead and delid my chip using this method

At 3min25 he uses super glue to relid the IHS back into place.Basically my question is to know how safe is the super glue method ? I've heard mix stuff about it and I really want to be sure before doing it.To clarify in case you didn't watch the vid at 3m25 he puts a small drop on each exterior corner and not underneath the IHS itself.

I've never used super glue, and I also would recommend against it. Gut says that under high temps it would fail, other wise they would use from factory. might also cause issues when you have to delid it again.

Should I simply let the retention arm take care of the relidding process then ?

Super glue is a bad idea. You will be better off with a thermal adhesive.

its hard to have it set 100% correctly but if you are able to manage it then theres no issue.

yes,yes and yes :)

ps: hold on to the IHS because it will start sliding a bit if you don't put enough pressure on it.

It will work as mentioned some use RTV or epoxy to re-adhere it into place.
