ATX to MATX

Hey guys, Im planning to downsize my PC from my big ATX cube to an MATX Cube, reasons being i want more desk space and its easier to move around.

 

Currently running an Air 540 with a 6700K and GTX 970 with asus z170 pro gaming and a cooler master nepton 240m

 

now im replacing my PSU and mobo since Ive been having problems with them.

 

I was wondering what Cases and Mobos can you recommend of this size. Not too fussy about prices

Hi,

 

the Node 804 looks solid, although you might be better off with Fractal's Define mini or Define mini C. They're not cube, but a much better solution if you need more desk space. The node 804 would in my opinion be grossly underutilized if you don't have a lot of harddrives.

That's what I was thinking about. Would the Mini C or the Mini support 240mm rad? That's what he has.

The Define Mini C does support up to a 280mm radiator in the front and up to 240mm in the top, which should accomodate the Nepton 240M. The Define Mini doesn't list any watercooling compatability, but it has two 120mm fan positions in the front.

I have about 3 hard drives and 2 ssds and a hue+

any idea how it compares to the older GENE, gene has 2 more USB 2.0 ports but no wifi

No sorry, this is my first matx mobo and therefore didn't own the Gene.
