SSD Not Found Anywhere?

I'm trying to repair a family members pc, when they turn it on it goes into a blue screen saying "unmountable boot volume".

 

In the BIOS it shows up, but in anything like a bootable media, the drive doesn't show. Any ideas? 

 

I've attempted to swap SATA cables and such but no luck.

Have you tried using a live linux USB?

Want to know which mobo to get?

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

 

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

If it's a Windows machine, you may need to repair it with a Windows bootable USB.

No drives pop up in windows boot media.

maybe the ssd is dead already... which one is it... a kingston v300 for instance... those die super fast ;/

That's what I was thinking as well. It's a fairly old OCZ drive.

I'd take the drive out and plug it into a different PC that you can actually boot and take a look at it that way. Run an SSD health check for example if the system even detects it.
