The 290x is a poor overclocking even under water.

i, for one, care about Slick's health. Picturing him sitting outside with his little excel graphs, jotting fps and making bar charts... nope, can't do it. All of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Yea he volunteered that means we can all be guilt free. Besides if he gets cold he can just sit behind the 290x's exhaust port.

Not just at 3am but as they said it should be outside.

He'll survive.

If not it's a good way to die. Linus will find his body in the morning; Slick frozen solid with a smile on his face,

Linus looks up at the screen and sees the clockspeed readout of 1.3Ghz on the 290-x; and realizes that Slick did not die in vain.

At night, outside, the reference design with 100% fan speed should be enough to reach max stable oc.
