2x4GB (8GB) DDR3 RAM with i7 4790k and GTX 1080

Hello guys,

Just a quick question:
¿Will my 2x4GB (8GB) DDR3 RAM @ 1600MHz will bottleneck in any way my i7 4790k and GTX 1080 at some point?, or am I ok for a decent time till I have some money to get 16GB?

I use my rig just for gaming. Nothing related to rendering or that kind of stuff. Also, I'm not having performance issues but I'm just wondering since everybody recommends 16GB of RAM these days.

Kind regards!

i'd say 8gb sits right on the edge, most games will be more than fine but some(especially with mods!) will need more than 8 to run at their best

Most games these days runs "well" at 8 gb.

But when you have modifications as @McHox said, it'll require a little bit extra.

Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.10GHz - Intel Stock Cooler - Zotac Geforce GT 610 2GB Synergy Edition

Intel DH61WW - Corsair® Value Select 4GBx1 DDR3 1600 MHz - Antec BP-300P PSU

WD Green 1TB - Seagate 2.5" HDD 1TB - Seagate Barracuda 500GB - Antec X1 E.

Well I have 32gb lol cause I had weird memory usage when playing RotTR and GTA V at 4k on my old 970's in SLI

I was asking just because I'm not sure if It will worth the upgrade, since I'm ok playing at 1440p at the moment and I've had no performance issues with the games I've played so far.
It's just all those recomendations of 16GB over 8GB that are driving me nuts! haha
