Don't you prefer something like a 27" 2560x1440 monitor?

I thought about going that rout, but as I have a limited budget, and only work in 1080p, I think I would be better served by a 23" ips and 2 tn 23" plus my current 23"tn. Knowing that, what do you think?

There are some really nice Korean monitors for around $320 with Samsung PLS panels or LG IPS panels

I am saying that I think 4x 1080p screens is better than 1 1440p. I would have the 1 ips, 2 good tn, and my current crap tn for a total of four displays of the 780Ti. Am I wrong in thinking 4 x 1080p is better than 1 x 1440p?

If you are worried about productivity then just get 1 main 1440p monitor for gaming and other stuff  and 2 more for side tasks.

4 x 1080 isn't "Better" By any means. It would be odd to game on 4x 1080p if that's what you want to do also.

First of, what are good TN monitors?! second, I wasn't saying one 2560x1440.. I think you can get the 1080p IPS and instead of the two TN monitors get a 2560X1440 monitors, around the same price.

You can set the 27" one in the center and the two other monitors in 90 degrees.. How does that sounds?

I plan to edit on the 1 ips 1080p, game on one of the 2 2ms tn asus, and use my current 5ms tn piece of crap for random things, while the second 2ms tn is for my audio editor.

Get 1 2560x1440 monitor like the PB278Q and 1 120hz monitor for gaming if you'd like and another monitor if you want another.

I am limited to $4000. I amn just a casual gamer so 60hz is fine. will the 14440p screen give me more space than the 4 x 23" while still staying under the $4000 budget?

If you are mainly focused on space then 4x 23" Monitors will give you the most.

That is my main concern. Are there any other areas of my list you think I can improve upon? Do you think 4770k would be better than 4930k for my uses? If you think 4770k is better, what asus mobo would you recommend? I currently have a core i5 sandy bridge @2.5ghz and 8gb of ram ati radeon 2600 pro so this will be a huge upgrade.

You can get a 2560X1440 and that IPS monitor and keep your old monitor for around the same price as you planned.  Mount the 23" in 90 degrees on each side of the 27". Also editing 1080p on a 2560X1440 is really good because you can see 1080p preview without full screen..

You can add 32gb of ram if you really think you need it.

Also replace the fans on the h100i if you buy it. Get some Scythe gentle typhoon ap15's.

Everything else is good. 4000$ isn't really need to do editing unless you do ALOT of it and it is your main job.

I do this editing for a living so preformance is key. I do want 32gb of ram and the 7.5 tb of mechanical drive space. I do prefer asus motherboards. Do you think x79 or z87 is the right way to go based on that I do editing for a living? I own windows 7 ultimate so I don't need that. I want to keep the monitor arrangement I outlined in my newegg wishlist.

I think for editing the 4930K would be great, 6 cores are better than 4 for highly threaded applications such as editing.

4x1080p has more pixels but I'd still recommend the 2560x1440

Around the same budget, here is what I would:post-1112-0-54982500-1383983768.png

I would like 3 1080p screens in a row, and a fourth above the main all 1080p, the main is ips, the 2 sides are good 2ms tn, and the top is a crap 5ms tn.

That should be good for your needs. Gigabyte is a amazing motherboard maker so i wouldn't be afraid of getting one from them. you may need to update the bios of that motherboard though. And if you really want asus just get one of them for the x79 side.
