DisplayPort or HDMI?

I have been tearing my hair out looking for monitors. If anyone wants to suggest monitors then I'll list what I'm looking for but right now, what's giving me issues is finding monitors with DP. And I figured I should at least ask, is DP worth the trouble? I know it's a very good display standard but what are the benefits over HDMI? Aside from daisychaining, which I can live without if I have to, I don't really need any specific features besides a stable video standard that provides a good experience with a triple 1080p monitor setup.

Instructions unclear, dick stuck in CPU socket.

You need DP to use resolutions higher than 1080p out of the box. You can probably set something higher than 1080p, maybe up to 1440p, with HDMI, but you have to force it and it may not actually work.

Otherwise for 1080p or below, either interface works.
