Cannot adjust brightness on my monitor? (Windows 10)

My monitor is too bright for my eyes and i can't go to the display options to change it because the option isnt there

That option is in the built in menus on your monitor, not Windows.

Try the onboard display. I also thought I could switch my brightness in the settings, but i guess in gaming pc's it has to be thru the onboard display

CPU - i7-4790k

GPU - MSI 980 Ti 

Mobo - MSI Z97 Gaming 5

Memory - 32 GB DDR3

Storage - 3.4 TB
