Gn246HL has one of the worst panels i've ever seen in a 144hz

Highly suggest you go for a MG248Q at this price point

Or New ones sometimes go for ~$250 (It was $250 on newegg but it rose in price)

(MG248q is basically newer VG248q)

Or a viewsonic at this price point

What makes GN246HL Panel worst?

As I have read it has even richer colors and even higher contrast on tests.

Richer blacks in dark sences one of most requirement for any competitive player

The actual contrast for Asus moniter is not 100M:1 it was 80M:1 as tested and it also uses higher frequencies of PWM of 846 which makes it cause headaches for long time play.

The best benefit is that acer supports nvidia 3D Vision while ASUS does not actually support 3D Vision as manufacturer said.

About the input lag asus has the best timing it is only 4 ms while average response time is also 3 ms but the acer has 12 ms input lag with 4 ms average response time.

Because of low response time of both moniters, they have no tears or ghosting.

Personally I would sacrifice some of input time for better color vibrants, lower power consumption, less health issues, 3D Vision real support and of course the lower price.
