Will I need aditional fans

VicRik

Hi guys!

I'm planning to build a aircooled pc inside of the NZXT S340 Elite case. I am wondering whether I will need to mount extra fans in the front of the case to supply extra air flow. I am a first time builder and thus not very knowledgeable regarding this topic.

This is what I will put in it:

CPU: I5 7600K

CPU Cooler: Cryorig H7

Moederbord: ASRock Z270 Fatal1ty Gaming K4

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16Gb

SSD:Kingston HyperX Fury SSD 120GB

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB

GPU:MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G

Case: NZXT S340 Elite

PSU: CX550M

Thanks

VicRik

If the case does not come with fans in front, adding some will definitely improve the airflow.

Case comes with 2 fans, mounted top and rear by default. Thats not optimal fan layout, but you don't need to get extra fans if you don't want to. Most common setup is 3 fans, 2 front in, 1 rear out. With two fans you should keep the rear in place and move top to front slot. If you want, getting another fan to front will help, mostly with cooling GPU. Included fans are 120mm, but you can pick either 140mm or 120mm just fine.
