Hello, 

I'm going to buy a gaming laptop Lenovo y700

with 960m and skylake chip. Is it worth it?

Here's the thing. I have an 860m inside. gtx 960m is around 5-10% faster (at best) and I decided not to play any games anymore on this laptop beacuse it's just not a full gaming experience. I have a desktop (1070+6700k) and I game on that, but I wouldn't consider a gtx 960m laptop a true gaming laptop anymore. More like full multimedia laptop. You will play on medium, my friend. But, If you play starcraft or dota/lol or sth easier, you're have no problem breaking that 60fps maxed out. If I could do it, you will as well.

gtx 1050 is around 20% faster than gtx 960m.
