Test Bench Suggestions?

So my dad and i recently got into building pcs, and were wondering if anyone had some suggestions on motherboards for testing the functionality of CPUs. We just need something a bit cheap that could work on most CPUs in todays market.

Each mobo uses different socket which will use with different cpu so that can't be done, they are physically not compatible

There are tons of CPU's which run on different platforms, You are gonna have to settle for a socket.

Intel X99, Z270, Z170, AMD AM3+, AM4 (upcoming), FM2, etc

For newer intel mainstream desktop you'd want an h110 but other than that it's going to be pretty specific. It would be compatible with 6th and 7th gen intel processors form pentium to the i7 6700k and 7700k but for 7th gen cpus to run on the h110 you would need a bios update
