You can but projectors usually work on lower resolutions and I am pretty much the latency/refresh rate isn't great

Thats what i want tested. A good 1080p Projector would be really cool.

No point on that, any 4k tv would cost the same and give much superior image quality.

I agree.    I think this is a case of "could be interesting to try" but there's a simpler and cheaper way that also happens to work a lot better.  

 

I would think a projector would work, certainly people use them to watch movies, but games might require higher performance that a projector can't quite deliver.  

 

At least not without costing far too much to be worth it for most people.

I've got a 1080p/60 projector at home for the home theater/Xbox1/PS4 gaming and it works fairly nicely for having a 100" screen.  One of the best part is if you ever have played a split screen shooter, you're not sharing a small bit of real estate. If you want to go 4k though, that gets pricey really fast as a decent 4096p/24 is around $10,000.

Didn't they already made a sponsored video about a projector where Linus was playing with the image projected on the side of a wall?   I think it was from LG?

Now that i remember they did make a video but it was sponsored and it was basically to get a video out that day... It was only a small skit and wasnt a very good video...

Can you guys stop with the smart ass answers? I asked a simple question. The video they made was sponsored and as i said before, was not a very good video. (I do like their videos, but some are better than others.)

There was once at college we used the classroom projector to play CS 1.6 with bots from a pendrive on the class first gen i5 no gpu, it was at 720p.

The experience was kinda crappy honestly, maybe on a living room with comfort playing some single player campaign title with a gamepad it might give a nice experience, but then again I would just rather have a poltrone faced to a 42 inch 4k curved panel that costs the same as a 1080i projector
