I think noctua already released some am4 coolers.

Details: 12GB ram, GTX 1080, USB card passed through to windows 10 VM. VM's OS drive is the SATA SSD. Rest of resources are for Plex, Duplicati, Spaghettidetective, Nextcloud, and game servers.

I think those were coolers themselves, not compatibility for existing coolers

Amd made a post about it on there twitter. It only shows EU and Pacific asia when I first saw it and you pay for shipping thats it

Noctua announced before those coolers that the free upgrade for comparability also applies to AM4. And EK announced AM4 support.

Wait... So I have a Hyper 212 Evo. This means I just have to pay shipping and handling to be able to use it on my upcoming Ryzen build?! #YOUCAN'TSTOPTHISHYPETRAIN!!!!!!!

Makes sense, it is one of the most widely used coolers on the market. Tick tock. I hope AMD has the supply to meet the demand with their new line up at launch.

Doubtful. While it's "free", I imagine they break even or profit at $2.99/shipped a unit (based off an lga2011 cooling bracket). Offering it through brick and mortar stores results in a net loss.
