Isn't this really good news for him? From what I understand Maker was taking a cut of his advertising revenue but now he gets 100% of it for himself. Even if the revenue is smaller it's probably on par or better than what he was making before right?

I love PewDiePie's comedy style and I was really looking forward to scare PewDiePie season 2.

New PewDiePie is just ridding the nearly unbeatable momentum of his early content. 

 

As to why his channel got so big it's a combination of things: He was an early let's player and won the lottery of YouTube algorithm by chance: English channel, Swedish region and then region change and got exponentially popular because of all of this done at the right time.

As I have mentioned in the past. Pewdiepie's channel needs to die a massive death ... good riddance.

Honestly, his latest videos doesn't seem that bad. I haven't seen that many of them, but the few I have seen have been tolerable with some funny moments. He was obviously joking with the "death to all jews" thing but I can see why they would pull back his advertising because of it.

Now look, we are all talking about him and his channel for a short period of time will gain more and more views/subscribers due to all the press this is getting. I am sure Mr. Pew is just so distraught right now. Lol.

Depends on how you look at it. Networks provide protections and handle a lot of the YouTube shit for you so you don't have to worry about it. But with how much Pewds complains about YouTube I don't think they were doing much for him in that regard.

Plus he's big enough that if he called up YouTube somebody would be happy to answer the phone.

Well yes, but it seems like they don't want him there anymore. At least from how things are looking. Google have been try hard virtue signallers for a long time now, especially as of late so I'm surprised it took this long for them to do this to him.

After watching the video they absolutely blew everything out of proportion. I love his non gaming orientated content. I also love how he simply doesn't care what people think about him anymore. If anything this is only giving him more traffic

I personally think satire and comedy shouldn't have lines that people shouldn't cross. When you do that, there's going to be situations like this where the people who shit on someone for a certain kind of comedy are themselves making satire or comedy out of things of the opposite spectrum.

 

It's a dumb double standard, but they can do what they want to Pewds since they're allowed to.
