Air cooler for i7 6700k in a NZXT s340

So im getting my first build and im using a NZXT s340 as my case but the only thing thats bothering me is the CPU cooler that ill get.

Im going with an Intel Core i7 6700k alongside an EVGA GTX 1070 FTW and i dont know what kind of air cooler

i should get that can keep up with the i7 6700k 's level (maybe even a small OC to like 4,2 - 4,3 GHz).
Originally, i chose the Dark rock pro 3 because i had seen

various forum posts and videos which prove it to be a good cooler but after some research i started to worry about the size

and how it would fit in my case. After that i started searching for alternative coolers which were under the

100 Euro range and so my attention went to the Cryorig H7. That was the cooler i believed (and still believe) i should

get for my build but am still not sure if its good enough for the i7 6700k. The H5 Ultimate was another alternative

pick to the Dark rock since alot of people believe it to be a very good cooler and much better than the H7 but

the thing is that the H5 Ultimate has a similar size to the Dark rock and im worried whether it would fit

into my case (i had read some posts which said their Dark rock/ H5 Ultimate had barely fit in their s340 and that

some people even needed to put force in order to close the case).

To conclude, im asking whether i should stick to the Cryorig H7 for an i7 6700k in a NZXT s340 or

get something else (opinions are always accepted).

PS. I would also like to know if these coolers will have any conflict with the ram slots or GPU

Thanks for your time :D

@Jed M

Dont you think the massive size of the Dark rock pro 3 would affect the air flow of the case (since it covers almost all the free space)?

*Sorry if thats a bad question but as i said its my first build

look these reviews:

https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/CRYORIG/H7_Universal/6.html

as you can see, h7 cools same as dark rock 3, so its not worth getting dark rock

Not really worth it, just keep your H7.

I just did a build in this case and finding a cooler took me 3 tries, however I tried liquid and air but finally settled on the

  • Lepa AquaChanger 120MM Liquid CPU Cooler, LPWAC120-HF

The price on Amazon was really cheap $58.  So if you want to give liquid cooler a try..

@Skezzii don't worry about airflow. Just make sure you have plenty of exhaust. If you want lower temps, consider de-lidding the 6700k and applying better TIM on the die. every de-lid project i've seen makes me gag a bit on what Intel used.

It wouldn't make it any worse.

The H5 wouldn't fit in the case. The DR3 would just fit but the DRP3 wouldn't. The H7 would fit with room to spare. Having the cooler touch the side panel in and of itself isn't an issue.

That being said. the H7 is already plenty for a 4.4ghz+ oc. There's no need to get more if you don't plan to push higher clocks.

For what you have in mind, the Pure Rock with slightly less performance than the H7 would be a quieter option and be plenty: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/cwPzK8/be-quiet-cpu-cooler-bk009
