Do you need 4K. I have a Philips 4K monitor but now I don't even make it go 4K anymore. Seriously not much content / program I use needs 4K (at least for me).

4K above 60Hz is not out yet, so you can forget that.

4K monitor below 40" will need scaling for anything text related (unless you are good at reading very small text), which is not fully supported by everything. So thats something to keep in mind.

Then there is the hardware question: Can your PC even run the stuff you want to use at 4K? If not then a 1440p monitor is recommended.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.

Yes I do. I am a content creator in photography and video and I also game in 4K in games that my GTX1070 can handle.

Honestly the best monitor that will function reliably at the required specs until there is the ability to go over 4K is what I consider value. I don't require super fancy features unless I can have them for a non-significant price hike.

Okay thanks for letting me know about the sizes man! Yes I can definitely power it in most scenarios. Looks like a desk upgrade is in order too then haha

Do you care about IPS or TN? I had the Iiyama Prolite 4K monitor and that was very good, 4K at 60Hz.

About 70% of it's use will be gaming so colour accuracy and viewing angles are not a priority.
