Quietest sub $40 CPU cooler.

RGProductions

Title. As long as it keeps my CPU under 80 degrees and is quiet AF it's fine.

Is passive an option?

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

If your case can handle it, I've heard good things about these. Only useful for 65W or so without the 92mm fan.

The Scythe Kotetsu is very much worth mentioning here.

*Edit: and it's $40 on Amazon right now

IDK about the passive one. And I also don't really like the Scythe.

I wouldnt say It's the quieter but for the price is one of teh best in my opinion and perfomance-noise. Here in Sapin I can get It by 25€ which are roughly 28$

This one: Nox Hummer H-212

Noise level:  8 dBA - 20 dBA ± 10%

Edit:  I have to say that I've tested It and at idle I can barely hear It!

The stock cooler should be enough. Is the noise or your current temps too high?

The appearance. When you've got coolers from cryorig in this price range, This appears ugly.

What are your load temps? Have you tried lowering fan speeds?

Load temps are around 70 degrees on the silent preset in asus thing with the stock cooler. Really, what I care about is idle/internet browsing, as that's what this PC does 90%of the time.

You still have a good amount of headroom there--you're fine up to 80-90c at load.

If you can't lower your fan speed any more, than you should get a new cooler.

Are you shopping in the US?

Can't lower it any more at idle (which is really where I care TBH) and yes, I am in the US.

The best option for the price would probably be the PR Slim mentioned earlier: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/hyQRsY/be-quiet-pure-rock-slim-351-cfm-cpu-cooler-bk008

A 120mm fan wouldn't be better for anything asides from looks but you can get the regular Pure Rock if that's what you're into: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/cwPzK8/be-quiet-cpu-cooler-bk009
