Should i cover the empty top fan mount on my s340 case?

Since i don't want to risk spilling anyting into the empty top fan mount of my case, I want to cover it up with this usps envelope right here

sorry don't know how to change the dang size (please show me how or implement plz :))

 

I have two fans installed, one front and one back..

It won't damage anything but it will look pretty stupid and goofy in my opinion

This is exactly why I opted for a fractal design case with the "modu-vents"

The cooling potential by having an open top is far outweighed by the risk of spillage for me.

 

 

What kind of case do you have?

It will look ugly and maybe increase temps a few degrees, that's all.

What he said. I wouldnt do It if I were you, you only have to not to drink ontoop of your PC xDD It isnt a crazy idea, is it? Just dont place drinks on top of it, thats all, theres no need to cover... Its like covering your car seats with plastic cause you spill something on them, no, just dont do it. I dont know If I made the point clear...

Not really.

 

The threat of spillage isn't just up to the owner not drinking something near the PC.  Sprinkler systems, open windows, and leaking pipes can all cause water to enter the system through the top vents of a PC.

Then whats the point of using the foam? xDD I mean, If it doesnt let the air through, he could use any other thing, even duck tape... hahaha anyway, I was assuming he is in "normal" circunstances, beacause at least in my house, there isnt any risk of spillage unless I spill something or if my neighbours whole house gets flooded lol

Get some really thin plastic, add some holes and ziptie that to fan mounts.
