Which one would you say is the quietest?

What CPU cooler would you choose based on noise?

  1. 1. Which cooler would you choose, with an i3-4170

    • Cryorig M9
      6
    • Noctua L9i
      3
    • Cryorig C7

i'd dare to bet on the noctua L9i, but if you have room for a cryorig M9 i really recommend the noctua D9L instead.

but that only takes into account noise at a specific fan setting, the D9L stays pretty much idle with my 4770 at full tilt, the M9i would be working its bum off for that.

Why not just stick with the stock cooler?

What are your load temps and have you tried lowering fan speeds?

Idle temps don't really matter. Run a stress test like OCCT and see what your load temps are like.

Have you tried to control it? I'm not fan of stock either, but I've also heard it on really cheap case. Wasn't as bad as I thought and that was with MSI's auto-controls.
