GTX 1050 SLI? Maybe?

SoloRaptonic

Hey guys, I just recently went to micro center to buy an MSI GTX 1050 for my girlfriend's rig. The card works great but a feature on the back of the box caught me off guard. It states "multi GPU support" and it shows a small picture of 2 next to each other with no SLI/ crossfire cable. Could this possibly be hidden SLI or is it just stating it can work with other graphics cards side by side. I can't find the link but I saw someone run an Rx 480 with a GTX 1080. Thanks for any help

More like fortunately, will make people stop losing their money SLI'ing low end cards thinking it will be worth it but ending up with nothing but bugs and poor support. Sure there a few sometimes exceptions but when building/upgrading the gold rule always is try going the highest single GPU you can...

The GTX 1050, 1050Ti and 1060 do not support SLI.

What is shown is a DX12 feature which does not use SLI or CrossFire. The vast majority of games do not use DX12. If you bought 2 then you'd have a bad time.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

I saw that feature too on the box of my 750ti from EVGA. The manual even showed an illustration of the card with SLI fingers and installation instructions with 2 cards. Even though the 750TI didn't support SLI, or have SLI fingers..... It was still pretty funny to see.
