Help with building a gaming PC

Tim554

Hi guys. so i am planning to build a gaming pc that can game at 1080p and 1440p decently. I will be playing games like overwatch and payday2 and maybe more demanding games. I would like to go for a green and black build, so the case i am thinking of going with is a https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/GZfmP6/nzxt-case-cas340wra

The budget is around $1500 AUS but it can a bit higher. I do plan to overclock but it isnt for streaming so a I7 would not be needed.

I would like a monitor included in the budget preferably 1 ms response time. I already have a headset, mouse and keyboard

Though dropping the SSD and the aio would save money for a better video card. Also consider getting just 8 gb of ram for now and upgrade later?

the 7600k is $7 less than the 6600k.

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($339.00 @ PCCaseGear)
and your budget isn't enough for a gtx 1070 and 144hz monitor. the rx 480 performs very similarly to the 980 and the monitor's freesync support will help make the gaming experience be more smooth.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

You might struggle to find a 980 new, but you could find a deal on ebay on used one, which are going for right around what new RX 480 is going for.

But with z170 you can go with a cheaper mobo then 270 no?

you can use kabylake cpus with z170 mobos, just that you need one with the supported bios, which is why i added in a disclaimer.
