Why is the LTT Youtube Branding Image a guy with a cat on his head?

I have been wondering for a while now why the the little image in the bottom right corner of every video is a cartoon of a guy with a cat on his head?

It's funny, and I like it... but I have always wondered why this image was used? @LinusTech

Probably due to his cats eating a lot of money (and by that, I mean they eat Styrofoam, therefore costing Linus a lot of money in vet bills).

To make matters even more confusing, apparently the image is pretty much exclusively associated with a random youtube channel: youtube.com/channel/UC2OK8fWtezOpU6W7sdLupBQ

The cat is a robot from the future with Linus's brain, and he drop a GTX 4080ti and the guy is pissed.

Never seen it before

 

The image is whatever the thumbnails are of the YT vids, noticing the AMD Ryzen 5 and 3 Previewed right next to me typing.

Dumb silly faces to cater to the younger crowd. How are adults suppose to take it serious.
