1050 TI G1 Gaming VS the cheapest 1060 3GB

Tremere

Hello, guys!

I'm gonna buy a new PC in two weeks and I am torn between two video cards.

Now, i know that 1060 has better performance over 1050 Ti for gaming, and that's what I mostly care about, but there are other important factors to consider.

Even the most expensive 1050 ti card is in my price range, like the G1 Gigabyte version which has Boost: 1506 MHz/ Base: 1392 MHz in OC Mode
Boost: 1480 MHz/ Base: 1366 MHz in Gaming. While if I get 1060, only the absolute cheapest version of that card is in my price range (given the prices in my country) like the Palit GeForce GTX 1060 3GB which has 1506 MHz/ Base and 1708MHz  boost. That card is about $20-25 more expensive in my country then the 1050 Ti g1. Other better version of the 1060 chip are way out of my price range.

Which card is the better solution overall considering, performance, build quality...etc?

Thanks in advance!

At that price point Nvidia doesn't provide enough performance. RX 470 and 480 beat it there.

RX 470 4gb is somewhere between 1050 Ti G1 and the Palit's version of 1060 3GB, while the RX 480 is exactly the same price as the Palit 1060 3GB

Yup, better just go for RX 480.

In that case you should trying opting for a RX 470 if it lands square in the middle. If you're also playing DX12 titles, the 470 will do you more good.

On top of that the 480 4gb has more vram then the 1060 3gb and is also faster

Even though I'm not gonna buy neither of the suggested cards, you made me doubt my choice of buying the 1050Ti.

Thanks for that, because I convinced myself to drop the idea of buying NZXT S340 Elite (for the fancy look) and go for GTX 1060 6GB.
