Repair 3ds or buy 2ds

So I cracked the hinge on my 3ds pretty badly and also has other damages like scratches on the top screen and the bottom cover coming off which both aren't as bad. It has only about 3 months before the crack on the hinge gets so bad the screen falls off. So what should I do Buy a cheap brand new 2ds or repair my 3ds for about the same price but only replace the hinge problem nothing else.

I bought a 2DS new for £50 the other day, fantastic console, couldn't be happier with it.

 

Having said that, you've managed to scratch the screen of the 3DS when its clamshell, a 2DS screen won't last 5 minutes with you i am guessing :-)

 

Also it only fits in your jacket pocket, not trousers if that bothers you.

If it is the original 3DS, picking up a second hand one off ebay would probably be better than repairing your existing one, if you want to stick with the 3DS that is. The 2DS doesn't at least have a hinge to break, and some prefer the form factor. Personally the lack of portability puts me off the 2DS, but it depends how and where you use it.
