AMD R9-290 (non-x) Waterblock with pics

Hi, would you mind sharing where you purchased the waterblocks? I want to get one, but they seem to be out of stock. (I'm in the U.S.)

I got mine at FrozenCPU

  • 2 weeks later...

I been checking this thread daily to compare my setup and temps to a full cover waterblock for my r9 290. But it seems we might never get the numbers.

While we wait for the op's numbers i will share mine:

Sapphire R9 290 With EK universal GPU block. Enzotech copper heatsinks on memory and VRMs with 120mm Fan blowing directly at the card.

360 radiator + 120 radiator. Cooling my 8350 at 4.5 ghz as well.

Core 1215 mhz +100mv voltage in MSI afterburner.

Memory 1600 mhz (hynix) +50mv voltage in MSI afterburner.

Completely stable, being having long 3- 4 hours BF4 sessions for 2 weeks now.

Max temp on Core is 64 C when I play.

Max Temp on VRMs is 77 C after 2 -3 hours.

I am at work right now. When I get to my house I will post some pics and numbers.

When I was overclocking I was using Unigine Valley for reference  at 1920*1080 with the Extreme HD preset and i was getting  a 2750~ score with my 8350 at 4.5ghz.

I will post more results later.

Definitely sounds worth the money to me! Haven't been able to push mine past 1100. And That's 1100mhz with a jet engine in my room.

IDK what happened with this thread and the temps Linus got,but here's my over clocking results stable in 3DMARK Firepro1.2

Max temps I got was 47Celsius - lowest 33Celsius

I had to bring memory clock back at stock speed of 1250Mhz because unstable in BF4

cooled by XSPC Razor block

Those fans do look sick. Too bad that they are somewhat useless when it comes to cooling
