What's that unpopular game that you like to play?

Recommended Posts

Well, I think EAs Star Wars Battlefront is a great game. One of my favorite shooters in the last few years.

Mark Gerhard left. People actually liked him. He at least put on a good PR face and acknowledged the need for a balance between having microtransactions to keep the game profitable in order to accelerate development of the game with updates, and to preserve the integrity of the game's core values. He left, and one by one, a lot of long-time Jagex staff followed him to his new company.

It's the previous CEO Rodney Cousens who was criticized heavily by that former Jagex staff on reddit. During his tenure, it was also the period of time when Jagex's monetisation team was under a lot of fire from reddit for going "overboard" with microtransactions, ruining many values of RuneScape. Only recently, they announced a lot of those former p2w elements to be accessible by non-mtx-paying players, such as bonus-granting outfits. Before, they were exclusive to heavily-paying members, but now, they were announced to gradually become accessible through gameplay.

Oh so Runescape is now owned by some Chinese entity? That doesn't sound like a good idea to me. I thought there was a stereotype of Asian controlled games being HEAVILY pay-to-win.

Diablo 3 is a guilty pleasure. Everyone hates it, but I'm back on it almost every new season.

Probably going to get the Necromancer when it's released later this year. Then I can have another character with 500+ logged hours...

Team Fortress 2. Mainly because everyone thinks Overwatch killed it when it's still going 50,000 strong.

Love Armored Warfare, its about to lose its playerbase tho :/

Why's that? I played WoT since early 2013, War Thunder since ~2015 and I played the Armored Warfare closed beta. and I'm still not sure which one I prefer.

_______

One game I failed to mention was Dungeons and Dragons Online. I haven't played it in months, but like Runescape I was considering getting back into it a bit. The only problem is there's few ways to compete with other players in the game last time I played.

IMO the visuals are out of date, but were probably pretty... pretty when they were new.
