Help Upgrading my PC to 4K capable PC

Hello, I am new in this forums. I want to upgrade my current PC to one that is capable of 4K gaming. I don't want to spend a lot of money on this upgrade. Also,I do not want some High End PC. I want something that does great for 1080 gaming but can also do entry level 4K. Especially because after this upgrade I don't think to do another one, or build another pc  in years. So I want something that is future proof but in budget. So the specs of my current set up are these:

CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) X4 760K Quad Core Processor      (4 CPUs), ~3.8GHz (with stock cooler)

RAM: (1) Crucial ballistix 8GB lowprofile 1600 DDR3 adn (2) Crucial ballistix 4GB 1600 DDR3. Total of 16GB DDR3 memory

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB.

MOBO: Asus A88XM-A.

PSU: Corsair CX430 80 PLUS Bronze.

HDD: WD Blue 1TB at 7200 Rpm.(I want to get more space, either and SSD or another HDD).

OS: Windows 10 Pro.

So there it is; I would liek to upgrade the CPU(including the MOBO) and maybe the GPU, or any other that you recomend. so thank you so much for any suggestion!

that's two things that dont match..

you'd almost have to replace the entire party to make it 4K capable in some acceptable form.

You're looking at getting at least a GTX 1080 if you want 4K at high or medium if you want to approach 60 FPS. Other than that, you're more than likely going to have to upgrade the motherboard and processor to a Skylake i5 processor at least.

So what's your budget? Because you're already looking at over $800 USD.

Corrected

I7-7700k@5.1ghz + 1080ti @ 2050mhz + 32gbs Ram + 2TB SSD = CSGO

i7-6700k@4.9ghz + 980ti @ 1501mhz + 16gbs Ram + 1 TB SSD = Backup

i7-3770k@4.8ghz + 680 4gb + 32gbs Ram + 500gb SSD = Retired/Office work

Since it seems you are on a pretty tight budget for a few years or whatever... I'd highly recommend straying away from 4k until:

1) 4k monitors drop in price

2) Newer/more powerful hardware comes out

3) You have more money to blow (Upgrading pretty much your whole pc is your only option as of now)

then your are out of luck. Like some other guys said. you need at least an 1080, and change mobo+ CPU

good luck with that.

Playing 4k at low settings is lame at best

I recommend you consider 1440p.

I7-7700k@5.1ghz + 1080ti @ 2050mhz + 32gbs Ram + 2TB SSD = CSGO

i7-6700k@4.9ghz + 980ti @ 1501mhz + 16gbs Ram + 1 TB SSD = Backup

What about something more decent for 1080 or 1440?

The most you could do is watch movies on netflix in 4k but thats it.

Unfortunately, there's virtually no way currently to achieve 4k gaming within this budget.

if yuo want medium quality at 4k you are going to need at least a single 1080. or dual SLI'd older parts. 4k gaming is still in the realm of "bleeding edge" and requires a lot of horse power to be able to do it.

currently, there aren't any GPU's that are < $500 that I think can do 4k gaming well enough to be considered. even 2k gaming really requires a 1070 (or equivelant in power) and that alone is already pretty much all your budget.
