DX12, Depending on the game like DankField1 (BF1) will use up to 16 threads, after 6-8 threads the difference in fps is minimal.

Specs v-v

i7's get a slight FPS boost with the hyperthreading (looking at the small majority here that play) but thats 8 threads, I have no idea with 10

curious to know for HEDT core usage and benchmarks out yet?

HEDT user here. SC is heavily threaded and has something going on on all 12 of my threads however there is 1 asshole thread that just clogs up one random core. CIG is aware of this problem, but no fix in sight yet.

regardless of that, Intels 10 core is just not a very good deal and I'd suggest you to wait around to see pricing and performance of the upcoming Ryzen CPUs

Unless I mis-read it I thought X-Plane could although not sure if it can utilise it well.

They once said they would shoot for 'full utilization' of up to 6 cores. If you have more than 6 cores, it'll likely spread it evenly across them.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Usually anything over an i5 is overkill for gaming at 1080p. I don't know how much impact an i7 would make above that personally.
