Auto Connect to Mac OSX server

Don't know where else to ask this... so I thought i would take a chance here.

 

Ok, the scenario...
I have 5 render boxes linked into our network all running windows 7

our main server is running Mac Version 10.11: "El Capitan"

 

I created a .bat and stuck it into the startup with the line "net use \\LS-server\ls_work /user:render render"

This used to work fine on OSX Version 10.10: "Yosemite" and earlier, but since the update the render boxes dont auto log into the server anymore.

 

I know to get it to work before I had to change a line in the registry (The clients that did not work had the registry key LmCompatibilityLevel in HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\lsa set to "1")

had to change it to 3 i think...
all was fine until the update.

 

strange thing is that if I remote desktop to those render machines and open windows explorer, navigate to the server and click on it, it brings up the login dialogue box. if I type in the user name and password and hit enter, it logs in just fine.

 

so.... whats the issue with the auto login?
