Does this creates a neutral airflow in my chassis ?

JensenEx

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if having 2 140mm fans at the front of my chassis acting as intake fans and 3 exhaust fans (one of them is liquid cpu cooler) will create a Neutral airflow in my chassis because I'm currently having 1 intake and 3 exhaust thus accumulating a lot of dust..

With easy math, having more fans intaking than exhausting. With bit more complex math, having fans intaking move more air in (aka run faster) than fans exhausting (aka run slower).

if you want neutral going for the same amount of each type of fan so 3 exhaust 3 intake though at least according to linus a one with a bit of postive is better so that would be 2 exhaust 3 intake but yeah

My chassis is limited to only 2 intake fans....anyway thanks for the reply.

If you're using a rad as exhaust, the fan(s) on that will be slightly less effective.  So 3 in + 3 out (or 2 in + 2 out if the chassis only allows 2 intake fans) is a good scenario for positive pressure.  Add a bit of RPM on the intake if you must.

short for "radiator".  Seeing as you mention having a liquid cooler, I figured it would be worth mentioning that those restrict airflow a bit.
