4gb gtx 1050 vs gtx 1050 ti

So I was thinking of buying a budget gaming laptop (dell inspiron 15 7567), but one big thing got stuck in my mind: Wich is better

  • gtx 1050 with 4gb of VRAM and faster clock speed

or

  • gtx 1050 ti with 4gb VRAM and slower clock speed.

I think the 1050 Ti is worth it since you can't upgrade it later.

But to be honest I would steer clear of the Inspiron 7567 due to very poor display quality. Poor displays can be one of the most noticeable flaws in the computer, and can defeat a huge part of the reason to buy a gaming-oriented laptop: to make games look better

I'm mostly in it for portability and performance because I might buy a momitor for it as well in the future (for content creation and home use reasons). but the Acer Aspire vx15 is also on my radar, well see what that looks like when it comes out.

Even if you're going to use an external monitor, I would still probably say it's worth getting a laptop with a decent display, the reasons being that you're buying it for portability meaning you're going to be using it away from the external at least sometimes, and that even when you use an external, you can use the internal and external displays at the same time, in a dual-monitor setup.

My work laptop has a rather low quality screen, and even though I have two 24" external monitors at my desk, I still wish the laptop's display was better, since I use all three at a time, and sometimes I take the laptop away from the desk to use elsewhere.

But yeah I'm really hoping the at Acer ends up being worth its delay.
