Cons to buying a Samsung 960 Evo m.2 (OEM) SSD?

BahdFish

Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade my rig and am looking for some good advice. My plan was to get the new 960 evo m.2 but everywhere I can find this thing has like a 1-2 month wait ie Amazon and Newegg. I did however find this listing on eBay. Seller has good ratings so my only concern is whether or not there would be any performance differences between the regular retailed Samsung 960 evo vs the OEM version. Also, will I need to jump through any hoops when talking about cloning my current drive to this or  installing Windows on this? Screenshot_2017-01-29-14-30-58.png

Ok.  I may just do that.  So would you advise against getting what I listed above but 250gb version?

I can't fit Win 7 Pro and only one game - DOOM on a 120GB drive.

But the main drawbacks are no warranty and no Samsung Magician support. Plus you get double the capacity for only $40 more with the EVO.

Keep in mind that it won't function much faster as a Windows drive, but costs twice as much.  4k read speeds are barely faster, and that's what matters for Windows.  I'd get a SATA drive and save money.
