What are the best purchases you have made? Products that have kept running well past their due date, or that kept giving back to you or were just so much better than you expected.

My Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark I board, which will soon be transferred over to my sister's rig when I downsize my current one. 

My 290, which is out of commission for the moment because the BIOS(s) that it's running are slightly broken.

Top of the list is probably my laptop.  It's not up to gaming anymore (well, not modern games) but in terms of any other task I do it's as good as and brand new machine, even 6 years on now, due in no small part to the SSD I put in it (and that it was good in every other way to begin with).

 

I also really really like my mouse :D

For me it is my 160GB ipod classic, which I have been using nearly every day for the past 8 years and it still runs great. I absolutely love it.

My 2006 ViewSonic 19" 1440 x 900 "HD Ready" TV/Monitor still works!

 

Doesnt really get much use anymore, but still looks... alright... next to my current monitor :P

As of recently, definitely my Lenovo K4 Note. Nice design, fast, good camera, crisp screen, amazing front-facing stereo speakers, fingerprint reader, confirmed Nougat update coming (already got MM a while ago), above average battery life (5+hr SOT), dual LTE SIMs, and more. Far exceeded expectations for a $120 phone.

The Corsair Harpoon mouse I bought recently. Never used a proper gaming mouse before, and the difference is impressive. Excellent use of $30.

 

Also, my $120 RCA Windows tablet.

My 9600 GT's. Just replaced them with a 750 Ti a couple of months ago. Looking for a 1050 Ti or 1060 now.

 

I had one 9600 GT when I got my first custom rig 7 years ago or something (could have been more or less, the 9600 GT was just out). Later on, I think between one and two years ago, I bought my second on the cheap to give a small boost in SLI. Could pull most games on medium in 2014/2015 but I had to retire them when they became a real bottleneck. Cities Skylines wrecked them :P

still got my 80gb one, found it on the road between Adelaide and Perth, things dam near 3310 indestructible

My current laptop. I technically never really purchased it. My tech administrator told me that "this" laptop was broken, was intermittently not starting up and shutting down on its own and we already got the customer a replacement in. Let alone setting in the recycle pile for about a year.... BUT for some reason, when I pressed the power button, it kicked on..... and stayed on.....

 

Lenovo v570 4GB ram, I added a 2GB stick. After running on HDD for about a year straight of perfect functionality. I bought an ssd to go into it. It works like new (because of ssd). I dropped it countless times. One hinge for the screen is loose. Dropped it while it was open and face down. THIS THING IS A MONSTER..... Im writing this post on it now. lmao

 

As far as legit purchases. My steel series sensei RAW... I got my first one on a crazy sale for about $30. Used it for gaming playing 90% league of legends the past 4-5 years. FINALLY the right click lost its tactile feedback. It still worked, but no more clicks. Didn't hesitate one bit to buy another... I guess i'm a sucker for simplistic design, cheaper price, and amazing life and performance. So now i have a pleasure sensei and a work sensei <3

I didn't buy it but probably my original Gameboy. I got it for christmas when I was a kid and it still works. It was my first video game system and it's what got me interested in video games and computers.

A seven year old CPU that performs as well as a 6700K when overclocked to 4.0 GHz (the caveat is that performance is spread over six cores and not four, but still).

 

I expected this PC to be outdated two years after its birth in early 2010, but seven years later it's still kicking ass.

My dell Se198Wfpf. Bought it used for $10, and the contrast sucks BUT THIS BUGGER NEVER DIES! Since my main monitor broke, so I end up using it right now. It is so old that it faded, but it overclocks to 75hz and it still works

 

That or my free HP officejet 6700. It has a broken feed/eject motor for the paper, but prints still look awesome. also IT HAS 10,000 PRINTS!!!!!!!!!

Logitech diNovo Edge. I bought it about 10 years ago and it cost me a fortune, but it is probably still the best keyboard ever made. After all this time the battery is still able to boost many weeks without charging and the keys are just mmmmm... Even writing this post is a pleasure.
