I would recommend a sub 15L case, like Silverstone's FTZ01, RVZ01, RVZ02, or Fractal's Node 202. I can easily fit a FTZ01 in a suit case with room to spare for a week's getaway. You can still fit a 12" GPU in there as well if you want to upgrade to something more beefy later. The only problem is it does limit your cooling options, so you can't overclock the CPU.

I would get a hard drive, smaller SSD, and a better GPU if it can all fit in the case you end up going with (totally agree with @M.Yurizaki about the case).

I didn't look up that many cases. Are there mini cases with water cooling options? I'm not worried about GPU so much @kelvinhall05 I might go with a mini 1060. Just want nice 1080p gaming above 60fps :) Only reason I picked the 1050ti was cause of the price

When you get down to this size, your choices for water cooling basically go out the door. The only AIO is Corsair's H5 SF. You could possibly fit a H55 or similar on there but only on cases like the FTZ01 or RVZ01 since the others I mention don't even have fan mounts.

If you do go that route, do keep in mind it makes working on the computer annoyingly hard. You basically want to make sure you're not going to want to tinker with anything for a while.

That is true and I was considering the cons of that. What about for air coolers? I was looking into the noctua ones. Would those be enough to get a "baby" overclock out of them?

The only one that will is the NH-L12, but you'll be looking at this (not mine, but I did try a NH-L12 and returned it because I couldn't deal with this)

@M.Yurizaki Oh my....

a non k CPU should push over 60fps though right? I mean I don't have to overclock the CPU. I'm open to options.

Yeah, I run with a i7-6700. With the cooler I have, it stays at 3.9GHz just fine when I'm playing games. I did some benchmarks recently on my rig for a blog post:

Nice post! I've had to fumble with settings of my own to get it to stop with the high usage :P

Well if you picked the 1050 ti for the price, I would wait until an RX 470 goes on sale (you can buy one for around $150 with a MIR).
