Need help with getting video signal to last of 3 monitors

I have three 2.5K monitors (2560x1080) that accept only HDMI connections and I have a GTX 780 with a DP port, HDMI port, a DL DVI-D port, and a DL DVI-I port.

 

I can connect two of the 2.5K monitors and get 2560x1080 using a DisplayPort to HDMI converter and a normal HDMI connection respectively.

 

I need to somehow get one of the provided DVI connections to the last monitor expecting an HDMI connection -- and I need 2560x1080.

 

What can I do?

What monitors are they? They only have HDMI ports? Wut?

 

Anyway, a passive DVI-D to HDMI adaptor should do the trick :)

i'm running one 2560x1440 off of hdmi and one off of a dvi-hdmi cable, you didnt even need that DP-hdmi adapter.

(the only reason i went with a dvi-hdmi cable instead of an adapter was because i needed new cables anyways, so i just got exactly what i needed)

Ah, it only has dual HDMI...

 

Just search for a dvi to hdmi cable, it should come up :)

All those that I found using those search terms are single-link DVI which restricts the resolution to 1920x1080 :(

I'm pretty sure SL DVI has enough bandwidth to run 2560x1080@60Hz...if not then you'll need an active adapter :/

Single link DVI cuts off at 1920x1200. Dual link DVI max is 2560x1080 (afaik).

 

My problem is that I can't find any adapters that would work according to their descriptions. Do you have any product recommendations?

You're right, it's not enough for 2560x1080...

You'll need something like this...nvm, can't find an active DL DVI to HDMI adapter either :/

just a generic adapter, there's a standard for DVI-D to hdmi, because they carry the same signal, and in fact the cable itself is structured the same way. they're essentially the same cable with a different connector on them.

but... i'm running 2560x1440 off of hdmi and dvi-hdmi right now, i'm not running voodoo am i?

At what refresh rate? Technically single link DVI can only run a 2560x1080 monitor at 35Hz :P

And it's single link or dual link? How have you got that resolution :o

running at a glorious 60 FPS. if i'd have to take to guess, it's that GPU's gladly push things only meant to be the higher standards of HDMI (that surpass dvi) when you stick an adapter in them.

hdmi is *only* single link, and it worked like that out the box ;)

I just remembered something which makes you correct, when you use a DVI to HDMI adapter, rather than running off DVI, the GPU switches to HDMI where the DVI port is actually outputting a "hdmi" signal :P

Can someone point me to where I can buy an adapter that will do this for me? :P I can't find any that would lead me to believe the res is supported.

it's the same thing as i used for my display until i got my set of new cables, never had issues with using it.
