Linus TechTips Net worth?

H0R53

Having a discussion with my significant other about Linus as a show host, just mentioned he got a vasectomy (watching the WAN show right now) and she has no idea who he is. How much is Linus' net worth (all assets included, property, revenue from YouTube and other sites, compensation from sponsors, etc). Like what does he put on his tax forms lmao.

To be honest, no.

but on topic, I am sure that he has an above average ''net worth'', but most important to me is that he can actualy make a good living and pay the entire crew of people that are under his employment.

Also its pretty who funny how the story about the vasectomy ended up in asking what his networth is.

Aside from it being a complete mess it looks like a fine house xD

But for real this is the 21st if you work hard you make a living, no surprises there and considering how some really bad youtubers end up doing quite the cash, no one is more deserving in the tech world than Linus for a nice recognition imo.

I mean we know Donald Trump's net worth and Bill Gates' net worth.

Those are public figures, nobody is supposed to go around shouting their income.

$ 102,650,332,250, but I'm positive that's because it's YouTube. not Linus directly.

Um. I think that's youtube's worth. Not that single channel. NO way that channel makes 300 million a month, or is worth 103 billion

Why does it matter?

I mean, really, it wouldn't be overly hard to estimate. Take the number of staff x ~$35k, then figure out the building value and his house value. You'd have to put in the work to figure all that out though.

I just want to know the number. Maybe if he answered. What's his @ tag?

That's a pretty fucking personal thing to ask someone. Don't tag him. Honestly, how disrespectful can you be?

All but the most public and wealthy people keep that information private for a variety of reasons.  He did do an episode on the % of money that comes from different places if you're interested, but I wouldn't expect him to disclose the exact amount for the company and much less for himself personally.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Not that I am really interested in HOW MUCH he makes, but there are websites like Socialblade that try to estimate this.

https://socialblade.com/youtube/user/linustechtips

Contrary to what people wrote here, is actually quite impossible to estimate his/their income, too many unpublished variables.

However as you can see he is among the 800 best YT channels so you can guess he is (and will be, due to the exponential rate of growth of the channel) making quite a lot of money.

Here is a rather interesting screenshot from a Linus video where he shows where does the money come from in percentage.

My net worth of everything I own plus my income is about 50K. I have a small apartment, some older computer equipment and I make not very much money except what I get paid on commission. So far this month I've made about a thousand dollars, half of which goes toward a biweekly apartment payment, a quarter goes towards food, electricity, heat and Internet, and the other quarter is deducted for taxes, healthcare and motorcycle insurance.

I'm sure Linus could afford a lambo if he really wanted to buy another.

The thing about Vancouver is that almost everyone there lives above their income level.  And you can live in a million dollar house without having a lot of income.

The 'problem' that some of the wealthier online reviewers have run into is that they stop caring about lower-end 'consumer' stuff because they personally have the wealth to never need to consider them.  So far, LTT has done, in my view, a great job of avoiding that and remaining relevant to its audience.  But quite frankly, the computer hardware industry is a real disaster of slowing sales and compressing margins at the moment, and product flow has been slow.

I suspect the net worth isn't that high as selling the equipment that makes LTT a 'going concern' probably wouldn't net them much.  Combine that with falling Vancouver real estate prices, and LTT is a nice gig, but its proprietor(s) aren't getting filthy rich (or filthy either!).
