buying used laptop

Hey all!

I'm looking to get a new laptop.

I am a student and my funds are very limited (UK)

I found some decent options online for used laptops

is a i7/780m a good choice? I know it is a relatively old card. will it be a decent laptop?

alternatively I found (similar price) i7/960m and i7/880m (bit further away)

if I get a new one, I'll be getting i5/960m

I currently have a lenovo y570

CPU: 2670QM

GPU: 555M
HDD: 750 HDD + 256 SSD (mSATA)

1366 * 768

I have my laptop for everyday use and light gaming, mainly as I can't (Feels Bad Man)
I play Overwatch, and might try some other titles new and old (skyrim, Bioshock, AC etc)

I also wish to record my gameplay in Overwatch. Will shadowplay work? will it affect performance too much?

any advice is helpful! thanks!

Shadow play will work, the 780m is around 50% faster than the 960m and is 240% better than the 555m. Have any idea what the I7 is? (Would go used def, and whats your budget exactly?)

Specs v-v

for the used laptops i7's are usually 4th generation or higher (quad core HT) any i5's I consider are also quad cores

RAM is at least 8GB (sometimes 16)

based on my research (gaming) the 780m is between 5%-40% (usually around 30%) faster than the 960m (no need to remind me how bad my GPU is :P )

my main concern is weather the outdated 780m will be a good choice. (kepler vs maxwell)
