Will it be able to properly run games?

Alexandros

-So,im building a quite cheap system with a Pentium G4400 3.3GHz and a Radeon  RX460 strix OC graphics card.I am planing to play games like ME:Andromeda,BF1(probably) ,Dota 2 and some MMORPG's(wow, terra)if possible. Now,ive seen quite a lot of videos of peopel playing Battlefield 1 (ive also read that BF1 use the same graphics engine as ME:andromeda correct me if i'm wrong:P) and i am really worried about the cpu holding the system back.

*I want to mention that i dont care if i play the games at lowest settings.Im the "hey,as long as it works" type of man.

*I chose the specific CPU because i (well thats what i can do best) watched lots of videos talking about it and how good it can be at runing games (compared to it's price).

If there is anyway to stretch to an i3 instead of the Pentium, you will eliminate the risk of 2 cores keeping you from running a game.

Other than that you should be good.

For those titles it is very low end. If you are unlucky certain games might not even work because it is only dual core and require quadcore. Suggest to look in the i3's then

The G4400 should be fine and not bottleneck that card.  i have the gigabyte version of that card and it runs really well (high to ultra) on older games so you should be fine as long as you have 8 gb of ram.

Try using the PSU Tier List!

If you have 500 euros to spend, I suggest getting an i5 6400 or i3 7100 or an i3 7350k if you want to spend most of your budget on a cpu

You are going to want to upgrade to a quad core CPU. Some newer games won't run at all on a dual core.

The i3 is hyperthreaded which gives it 4 threads to work with instead of the pentium's 2.

which would eat almost half of his budget, what do you suggest he does for the rest of his components when he spends almost all of what remains on an RX460? :P

getting an i3 over a pentium is probably advisable for gaming, because your preference in games will most likely change, and 4 cores (or threads) is quickly becoming the norm, so even if it's not buying you performance now, you're essentially paying for the longevity of your system.

The new Kaby Lake Pentiums apparently have Hyperthreading, such as the G4560, and should perform much like an i3. What motherboard are you using?
