New mouse for gaming

treeroy

I think I'm calling it quits on my new Logitech G502. It's clearly a well built mouse and the buttons & scroll wheel are excellent but it is so inaccurate and it drives me wild.

So I'm looking to get something else obviously. I previously had a Cooler Master CM Storm Mizar and love it to bits, but I wanted an extra thumb button to use as a push-to-talk while gaming.

So ideally what I'm looking for is something similar in shape to the CM Mizar but with a third thumb button... I wonder if this is possible?

Seems like you'd love the SteelSeries Rival 300.

Or the Rival 700. They're similar shapes. They're amazing mice. Except the sensor glitches on some older units. But that's mostly fixed now.

idk

I might switch from my Final Mouse too (scroll wheel activates randomly while gaming (big issue when u have jumping binded to it...) and DPI button activates randomly too... Maybe my wiring inside is fucked but cba opening it amd fixing it.

SS Rival looks like solid suggestion.

I like steelseries but the 300 only has 2 buttons on the side, I would really prefer a third button :)

The buttons are huge though, like I have a med size hand and I rest my finger on the bottom of the front button

idk

100 has a custom sensor based on 3050

300 has a 3310 (make sure you know this sensor's flaws before jumping in)

500 has 3360 (nearly G502-tier sensor)

700 also has 3360.

idk

Its not about size. I use the 2 side buttons while gaming, I would just like a third one to be able to push it down without compromising either hand while gaming.

Maybe I should just revert to my Mizar. The Rival 500 looks like an amazing price but it's also got an amazing price tag.. :P

Corsair M65? It has a sniper button that sounds like something you'd like:

It has a 3360 sensor in the PRO RGB version, which is $65 USD on Amazon

idk

It is? I'm very happy with it, have you tried calibrating it to your mousepad? Or putting in more/less weight and stuff? (sure you have before writing here I'm guessing...)

I've also set a quite low dpi with 1100 for Battlefield 1 and 4 so maybe if its faster it gets more inaccurate?

Logitech G402.

Have it for more then 1 and half year. Never had any problems, fits nice in hand and its not big mouse.

I play CS GO mainly and its pretty good.

But I am more into durability, so I hope it will last long.

I'm a fan of wireless. I use the G602, look at that all three in the same thread, and I love it. The little adapter runs at a frequency of 500hz, so nothing else screws with your connection. Period.

looks nice. Not sure about the design at the back though? Does it tip at all when you exert pressure on the back with your hand?

500hz polling rate is the opposite of a selling point dude ...

What you think about Logitech g402, one I showed you? Forgot to mention he is also cheap, I got him for 50$, saw him was 40$ few weeks ago.

it's not the sensor, the mouse is inaccurate because it physically cannot stay still. when I click on the mouse the front of the mouse dips down, pulls the back up a bit, it makes the mouse very unstable and imbalanced.

Why would I use the G402 if I'm unhappy with the G502? No offense but it seems like a silly suggestion..

it uses am101, same as the logitech g100/s. good sensor, but I don't think he'd buy logitech again

I haven't experienced this, but it could be because I have my mouse very heavy as I switched from a wireless mouse with a heavy battery pack. Maybe you could try that.

Here the 700 is about 25% more expensive than the 500... even though the 500 is the superior mouse by the looks of it.

Weird man. £70+ for 500 , £55+ for 700 in UK :D

The only thing bothering me is the weight of the mouse though :/ my current is 90g (perfect !) and 700 is 130g thats noticable. If im not mistaking the G502 is that heavy.

This sucks because 700 looks sexy as fuck and had that interesting display on it.

Gonna have a look at 500, 700 and Zowie mice. Hopefully I find something.

Edit. I know why ! 500 is for MOBAS (15 buttons..) and 700 is more basic for FPS games. So fuck 500, I dont like the button layout on the side.
