Cheapest mech keyboard possible

gtx1060=value

I'm looking for the cheapest mech keyboard possible that will last for a year or two so i can take it with me when i travel and if it gets stolen, it won't be as bad as getting one of my razer or corsair keyboards stolen

ew

anything from China. there's knockoff blues, browns, etc. Check eBay and Amazon. They're everywhere.

Alternatively find a cheap older Dell or IBM KB.

idk

I despise that keyboard for one sole reason. It is a pain to clean due to the keys being in a "bowl" vs on a flat surface.

realistically spending less than that on a 'mech' keyboard will be dicey as all getout- speaking from experience. If you don't want it stolen (but want it to work), membrane is probably best for that use case.

https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-KUMARA-Backlit-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B016MAK38U probably one of my favorite at a low price point. This one is even better if you like rgb but you can't configure them but have a variety of lighting settings. https://www.amazon.com/MechanicalEagle-Multicolor-Mechanical-Keyboard-Replaceable/dp/B01DBVH16U/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1484796684&sr=8-9&keywords=eagletec+mechanical+keyboard

under 40 usd is great for these and the quality is amazing for what you're paying for. They are blue knockoffs but work great! I own both btw.

Don't go with mechanical then, because at this price point, they will and are shittier then say a membrane keyboard. Look into the CMStorm Membrane keyboard. It's not horrible and it's affordable.

However, for high end keyboards. I am in love with my KM780 RGB Cherry MX Brown Keyboard.

But if someone breaks in you can beat them to death with this one. I've tested it. I promise :) .

i'd rather pour a cup of timmies on them or beat them to death with a lacrosse stick
