Asus Aura 970 M.2 slot not working.

Hey,

I have built a computer using the Asus AURA 970 motherboard. The motherboard has a m.2 slot on it, but I just cant seem to understand what's going on here.

I have tried 2 different m.2 ssds that were listed as compatible on PCpartpicker. However, anytime I plug anything in there, the bios does not detect it.

My specs are:

-AMD FX-8320e

-16GB DDR3 RAM

-Sapphire RX-480 8G

The SSD that I am attempting to use is

Transcend 128GB SATA III 6Gb/s MTS400 (https://www.amazon.com/Transcend-128GB-MTS400-Solid-TS128GMTS400/dp/B00KLTPUU0)

I have tried an adapter, but that didn't work. At one point I had a Samsung SSD that I put in that slot, but that also didn't do anything.

This is my first go at M.2, so it is very possible that I am doing something wrong in setting it up. I wanted to used this as a boot drive for lightning fast boot times.

Thanks

Oh crap. That board is older than 6 months. Do you think if I were to find a bios version from like 2016 that it would help?
