Can't remove intel mounting bracket on corsair h80i v2 water cooler

Trying to remove the intel mounting bracket and replacing it with Ye and one but she's not budging. Says to push in and twist but it's getting locked into something. Pls help

The metal rings had bent portions that clip or hold onto the plastic tabs, you need to push back so they are all evenly disengages from the tabs to then turn it.
